German immigrant going to college?

Hi! So, I'm from Germany, and I have a green card, but I'm not a citizen yet. I'm 25 years old and the average grade I got in my german "high school" diploma was a C-.

Do you think I have a chance to get accepted in a decent college?

What all do I have to do? The american college system confuses me very much.

Do I have to take SAT ot GED or both?

It all depends. Do you have Abitur? This makes things a lot easier. All colleges are different though. I had a German Abitur and got accepted without any additional testing. You can email me if you would like [e-mail].

Barbara call the American Embassy in your city and have them check for you. You know I have been to your country and is one of my favorites, great country you have. How is Bamberg, Mainz, Wisbaden.... great..
