  1. Afraid of germs, eh?

With the wind blowing, millions of dust allergens, germs, viruses and mites float effortlessly onto your skin, clothes, hair, nose...; everything you touch also collected these micro-particles. They go through your eyes which becomes irritated, lo, a sign! They are on the cups of coffee, your fresh bought slice of pizza, the person you smooch, really it's a losing battle. And on a plane, the air is recirculated through filters but even filters collect germs. You shouldn't deprive your immune system from doing it's work because that's what makes you immune eventually. But if you must, the drug store sells those wet wipes packets which should be approved by the airlines.

  2. You can put 3 ounce (ABOUT 100 ML) bottles of liquids in your carry-on bag provided  they all fit in a quart Ziploc bag.  You can also carry those wrapped hand wipes, they don't look at them as liquids, I usually carry a dozen or so with me. Since you are a germaphobe, take some Airborne with you and put it in your bottles of water. You will need all the help you can get, the air on planes is filthy, and the bathrooms aren't cleaned during the flight, they get really filthy before the end of an international flight (sometimes urine all over the seats and floor). Alcohol wipes are good for cleaning sinks or handles or whatever else you will touch. On long flights i like to bring some of those soft croc-style shoes. I slip put them on when i get on the plane and can relax without having to put my athletic shoes back on to go to the urine-puddled bathroom.

  3. yes you can bring purel!!!

the rule is for liquids, gels, lotions, creams

you can have as many 3 oz bottles as you can fit into a quart sized clear plastic zip loc bagie.

and you can only have 1 baggie per person.

stuff is 3 oz containers would include things like:

    -PUREL

    -shapoo

    -conditioner

    -body wash

    -lotion

    -perfume

-tooth paste *usually comes in a 3 oz container or less to start with*

-spray on or gel deodarent *usually comes in a 3 oz container or less to start with*

    -hair spray.

-any liquidy make up like liquid foundation, lip gloss.

all powder make up doesn't have to go into the bag and lip stick doesn't count as liquid but lip gloss does.

if you can't put something in a 3 oz container or if something doesn't fit in the baggie then just put it in your checked luggage cuz it doesn't matter what sized container they are in in your checked luggage.

also if you have any liquid, gel, or cream, presciption meds you put them in a different baggie and show them to the

    security people

and if you have somehting that is liquid and is more than 3 oz but you feel is reall important to bring in your carry on show it to the security people and they will determine if it is allowed or not.

it says it right in the liquid rules that you can bring something that is more than 3 oz as long as the security people feel that it is not too many oz over 3 oz and that they feel it is safe to go on board.

  4. You should be able to find travel sizes of Purell.   I have them.   You can take lotion if it is less than 3 oz or 100 ml.   All your 'liquids' must fit in a 1 qt ziploc bag.

You can also buy antiseptic wipes.   They don't count as a liquid and you can bring as much as you want.
