My best friend moved us to where we were fooling around, but she does not respect me and won't agree to anything serious until her divorce is settled.

Maybe a year from now she'll be ready for something serious, but who knows? Problem is I think she might be the love of my life. Should I wait? If not, How do I get her out of my head? We were best friends for 4 years!

Give her time. Let her be in your head and enjoy the feeling that she's close to you. She'll Know that you're thinking about her.

You said she doesn't respect you?  How can she be the love of your life?  Maybe she's attractive to you because of this long foreplay (four years of best friendship) and it isn't love at all.  Go about your business--date and do things without her.  If a relationship is meant to be, it'll happen later; meanwhile you may find the really love of your life.
