Get rid of mice ASAP!?

Question

We have 2 mice that we have found tonight and we've seen them before but now there's two of them. They are adults and I don't want them breeding or in the house. There behind the kitchen counter and we can't reach them, one came close enough to knock it out but than it disapeared. I know it was knocked out though. Any advice? What will kill the? Like over the counter? Please help. We have company coming over tomorrow and there coposed to be helping us move, so I need help ASAP! Please and thank you. : /

Just buy rat traps.

the best thing to do is to set glue trap inside the house and poison bait outside the house, get the bait that looks like green blocks not the one that is granules, mice love to bite into the blocks and they will last a long time, when they die, it will be outside the house. also check for mice nests around sand boxes and outside furniture.

Peanut butter actually does work, because the mouse has to sit on the trap and l**k it, and before he knows it, the trap springs. (If you don't like disposing of the mice afterwards; my husband ties a long piece of string to the trap before he sets it, and when the mouse is caught, he doesn't have to pick it up; he just picks up the string and throws the whole trap away.)

Nothing will work as well as a spring trap with fried bacon or peanut butter in it. You will know when you have killed them, you can dispose of them properly instead of them rotting behind your cupboards, and its VERY cheap.

You might find that there are more than 2 though!

You could try politely asking them to leave. (seriously, - I have relatives who insist this works on mice).  This does not work with a rat infestation.

Also I found in Walmart a couple of years ago, ultrasonic things you just plug into the wall socket, they emit a very high sound but you can't hear it, my dogs are not bothered either, but it's supposed to bother the rodents and they go somewhere else. I have not seen any mice again.

Set some mice traps and remember where they are and check them everyday.

If you live in a hot arid climate and don't run you air-conditioner and your house is hot, do not put poison down, heat and dead animals do not mix.

Rat poison decomposes mice quickley but if it is hot you will smell them for a couple of days until it passes.
