I want to post a job for people to bid on, but is it going to cost me money? I don't want to post it if it's going to cost me money. Any help? I know it says it wants commission but is it from me?

  1. Getafreelancer.com charges fees in several ways, one of which is to post a job.  They also charge fees to pay vendors.  Vendors pay fees as well, including the right to bid on your project.

There are several other good sites out there, but I can't speak to their policies.  Try Guru.com, Elance.com, ScriptLance.com and RentaCoder.com

Keep in mind that even though sites like getafreelancer can cut your costs by 50% or more, you're still going to have to pay for the work and the costs to post a job (usually $3-$5) are insignificant.  You can always get a refund if you don't find a satisfactory vendor.
