Getting a new router?

Question

im planning on geting a new router this week and dont know too much about them so what kind should i get. we have 2 laptops a desktop (which is wired) and a ps3. Ive heard about gaming router or something. ill probly get it at best buy or circuit city. I dont want to spend over 80$. I need one with a range of at least 75ft.

Most things should work at least 75 feet and probably a lot more.  Whatever you get, make sure it's as high as you can put it and away from electrical/metal things (including brick walls with re-enforcing bar inside)

I have a couple Belkin 54G routers ($39 and available at most office stores, cheapest I know of) and it reaches over my parents' whole property and my grandparents' (rural) whole house/part of the yard.

For internet-only you don't need to worry about speed, anything sold now is plenty fast.  Even the old 802.11b would be fast enough for internet access.

I'd pick up the Belkin at a local office store like CircuitCity and if it won't reach far enough just take it back and tell them it has too short a range.

It depends upon ur connection i think coz there r differnt modems for cable and dial up.hey try not to by motorola if u could,coz it make my connection slower than it used to be.I would recommend u to go for linksys or something else.

Look for a Linksys Wireless G router.
