We are on a tight schedule on getting around Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Sapa. Is it convenient to get the tour package only when we reach there?

  1. Just tell me your schedule in clear, i will to chalk out a plan for you.

halong-bay you cando 2 days and 1 night, and atleast 2 days and 3 night for Sapa tour. in Hanoi you can do full day city tour or Perfum pagoda, Hoalu-Tamcoc as well.

if you have 7 days or 10 days, you can do all the tours as above

  2. No problem in getting local tours when you arrive. There are many operators and you can check with your hotel. The staff are very friendly although language could be a worry.

  3. It's quite easy to travel to the destinations you mentioned. Once you arrive you can book tours of Halong and Sapa through any travel agent.

Halong Bay you can book the night before, for Sapa try and book as early as possible as the train fills up quickly!

All in all Vietnam is really easy to get around and it's normally much cheaper to book tours in Vietnam rather than from your home country.

    Have a great trip!

  4. u don't need a tour pacakge for touring around hanoi. i think its better to juz travel around hanoi by yourself.

whilst for ha long bay & sapa, its better to get a tour package. yeah, u shld book your tours when u reach Hanoi. u'll be able to find lots of tour agencies... but the cheapest agency is 'sinh cafe'.

  5. u no how the street r around there so i prefer not

  6. The truth is, that just about every hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi (The best area to stay) will be able to arrange a tour to these places at fairly short notice (Usually you can depart the next day).

The only problem is that some of these can be a little dodgy with regards to overcharging and service. The best thing to is to talk to other travellers who have done these tours about who the best operator is.

So, in short: Yes, they're very easy to book in Hanoi, but do some research before leaving so you dont have any dramas when you get there.
