Getting around in Phuket ?

i have been to phuket for 4 times and always stayed at patong beach . but this time i'm going to stay in Bangtao beach . i have no idea about this beach and i also want to know how i can commute between bantao and patong mostly late at night :)

Bangtao Beach is 20 minutes to Patong Beach. At Bangtao area have can visit Surin Beach about 10 minutes by walking and around Surin Beach have many nice restaurnat. Surin Beach is more popular for customer. and another near by beach is Kamala beach with located of Phuket Fantasea.

If you asking about commute between Patong and Bangtao after midnight...Yes...have many tuk tuk provided at Patong..But I recommend you to rent the car is better because if you visited for 4 times It mean you know more about the way. Then it easy for you to drive around Phuket Island by your own.

the  hotel  u  stay  in  may  have daily van  trips  to  patong to  see  the  night  life!

i have been to phucket many time before, and i have found that there are tuktuks around after midnight, there are just not as many as there are during the day, the price..ask them for less, haggle?

you can rent scooters for a very small amount of cash.

PHUKET IS QUITE SAFE BUT BETTER STAY IN DURING NITES.

take a tuk tuk... they are cheap and fun to ride around in...

or you can rent scooters and drive all around.  Phuket is small and we scooted around the eintire island in a few hours...

probably you'll find a so called tuktuk there which can take you where you want or somebody who works as an unofficial taxi driver. I wouldn't worry too much about getting around if I were you.
