Has anyone ever been married at El Dorado Royale Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico? If so, please tell us all about it. Do you have any suggestions about activities we can do with our wedding party. Any suggestions/reccomendations about the resort and/or area? We would really appreciate any advice from someone with personal experience at this resort. THANKS!

  1. Hi,

I was on Cozumel this past July for a small wedding. It was a sunset beach affair very well done. All the arrangements were made through the Park Royal resort. Cozumel is only a 45 minute boat ride from Playa del Carmen, which is part of the Riviera Maya. So if you have contacts at the hotel use them. How this was set up is the minister was part of the wedding group. You can actually get a license to marry specific people at a set date and time. It's all legitimate. Things to do. Riviera Maya is part of the mainland of Yucatan. I would suggest a visit to Cozumel, the Mayan Ruins at Coba or the longer trip to Chicza Itza. There is a great deal of shopping, there is even a Wal-Mart in Playa del Carmen. The bus system is very well run. It runs between the Cancun Airport to Cancun, Playa del Carmen and other areas. Go on line an check out the area. If you would like to contact me for more details go through Big Kat.

  2. Use the Wedding planner in the Resort. PIMSA is a rip-off
