I have an acne cyst right above my eyebrow. Its red and it hurts if I touch it. I have heard that putting a hot compress helps it, is this true? Its painful and I want to get rid of it as quickly as possible. I wash my face every night with St. Ives face wash and I put benzyol peroxide on it before I go to sleep. I can't go to a dermatologist though I really want the accupuncture thing done to it

  1. Acne need a good care - discover some recommendations and tips (below)

  2. try the compress, it might help. if it is deep down you will probably have to wait it out. also, try getting some good skincare stuff, like dermalogica clearing skin wash (the medibac line is really good), or skinceuticals clarifying cleanser. dont stick anything in it or squeeze it because it might push it farther into your skin. you could also get a facial

  3. Using the warm washcloth really will work, continue to do so and it will come to a head and pop. St. Ives face wash is very good for you, I use their product myself and I am over in the States. But it is expensive, you can use a natural soap(cheaper), rinse with cool water pat your face dry-never rub, Instead of using the peroxide, ask your Mom to buy you some Witch Hazel-you can get it at the chemist-name brand from Pattinson's, Witch Hazel is better as an astringent then peroxide is.  Good Luck

  4. i sometimes put hydrocortisone creame/ the facial mask by proactiv for the pain and swelling and i use eyedrops for the redness.
