  1. That won't work because each cable from the dish can only receive one channel at a time, and to watch that channel you will need to use a set top box in the room you are watching TV, so you would have to move your Sky box every time you wanted to watch TV in another room.

If you are getting Sky+ then the installer will need to run two cables from the dish to the box (for the dual record feature).

You're best bet is to let the installer run the cable from the dish to the box (put the box in the room that you will use it most), you can then run cable from the box to the other TVs in your house and buy some TV Links (and extra remotes), you will then be able to watch and control your sky box from other rooms, but you will only be able to watch the same Sky channel at the same time in all rooms.

    Take a look at http://www.tvlink.co.uk

  2. You can route the RF output from your SKY DigiBox to several outlets if you wish, but you'll need a small distribution amplifier (take a look at Maplins on-line catalogue at www.maplins.co.uk).  It won't cost the Earth, but it depends on how much you really want to do it.

It may be easier to set up a Giga-Sender (or similar) at your SKY box, and install a Giga-Receiver at each television set (again, see Maplins).

If you get the ones with remote control feedback, you will also be able to control your SKY box from the room where you are watching.

Giga-Sender isn't cheap, but it's more flexible and easier to install than having cables running all over the house!
