Giants Tim Lincecum

Question

Why does the giants manager keep taking lincecum out in the 7th inning and then watch the giants relievers blow the lead and not allow lincecum to get the win. Its not like he hasnt thrown alot of pitches before in his life and he hasnt shown on the mound that he is tired. He is practically unhittable.

All coaches do that because they don't want to wore out his arm/injury himself.He's a young player and still has a future ahead of himself.I have to say if Tim LinceCum doesn't have any major injuries he's going to have a great future

Yea but why pitch him more often and risk injury when they aren't contenders and if they pitch him more who knows how good he'll pitch as the season continues. If you keep pitching 100+ pitches every time sooner or later hes gonna wear out.

Tim Lincecum is very young and is considered the future of this franchise. The Giants don't want to risk injuring Timmy, especially in their current situation. They are nowhere near contending for the NL West, nor will they be for a little while.

I agree that Bochy is a bad manager, but the direction the team is going in calls for the starters to rest and the bullpen to get as much work as it can. Lord knows they need it.

It may seem stupid but in the long run it'll turn out to be what is best for the team.

This is what all managers do with their young pitchers. They don't want to over use them and have them blow out their arms while they got there whole future ahead of them. So the manager will have their really young pitchers pitch a few innings then turn the ball over to the bullpen unless the pitchers got a no hitter or something special like that.

I believe they don't want Lincecum to get tired and end up hurting is arm doing so putting him on the DL because Lincecum is the the best pitcher on the team.

its bullcrap tim lincecum should get the win but the stupid bullpen blows it like always you are right he should be at 16 wins already but go tell the bullpen that c**p they need to stop that. When Lincecum is pitching the bullpen blows it but when its another pitcher the bullpen can control the situation.
