Gift Exchanges?

My softball team is going to nationals in Kansas and we have to do a gift exchange. We can't decide what to do, or what would be an appropriate thing. We were possibly thinking $5 giftcards to target, but that just seemed like we didn't put any thought into it. Any ideas or thoughts would be awesome. Thanks!

You should bring gifts that represent the area where you live.  Maybe small magnets from your area.  Generic gifts are boring.

Wait, are you giving each other the gift cards?  Gift exchange sounds like you're giving each other gifts.  If it's someone giving the whole team gift cards, I think they'll be okay with that, though $10 will go a little farther, what can you really get for 5 bucks at Target?  Now $5 at Walmart is a totally different thing, though Walmart is evil.
