Question:

Gift for uncle for fixing car?

My uncle fixed my car. My hose to my power steering pump was gone and apparently you cant buy just the hose anymore so he bought something to make a hose and fixed it. He's only charging me $100. I know it had to have cost more than that.

I want to get him something else as a thank you but I'm not sure what. He has a Harley parts and repair shop. So hes into motorcycles. And we're native american.

Anyone got any ideas on what kinda gift I could get for him?

  1. 30 pack of beer works for me ;)

  2. Bring him out to dinner, that way you get to spend time with him also.

  3. hire a stripper to go to his shop.....lol,what tribe y'all from ?

old lady is cree, here in western canaduh

  4. Since he helped you out how about going down to his shop and helping him (cleaning, taking out the trash, handing him tools, a general go-fer).  All you spend is a little time but I would bet that he would appreciate it more than a trinket.

    Just a thought.

  5. That sounds like a fair price to me. Unless he spent hours just getting to the pump like you can do on newer vehicles.

Maybe something as simple as a HD logo coffee cup if he actually drinks the stuff. Having been an Uncle (and still am I guess) it dont take much to know you care and appreciate.

Harley Davidson does have a Website you could shop around on get some ideas. If your familiar with his shop you may know of something that would do well there.

  6. Why not buy him something unique from another countries native peoples like a boomerang or didgeridoo from Australia or a Taiaha(club) from New Zealand thats just a couple of ideas.
