Gifts for friends in CR?

we are going to visit several friends om CR & was wondering what would be a good thank you gift for their hospitality.

it is our first visit & we are in Texas

are ther things they don't have there that we have in Texas ?

I always have trouble with gifts like that. When I went to CR, I took a door knocker for my familia tica, only to learn that there were gates in front of every house, so a door knocker wouldn't get used. They laughed about that one.

You might take a souvenier from Texas from a souveniery shop. You could also take food, but that's trickier to deal with because of customs and such sometimes. You could always buy a houseplant there or something. I'm sure they'll appreciate whatever you take.

Just take them your favorite thing from Texas, or go to a local souvenir shop and buy them the thing you like the most. I'm sure they will appreciate the gift a lot, it's nice of you to think of them that way.

Just think of what your favourite thing is in Texas and bring them that. I live down here, and you can get all the basics, but there are so many things you think, man if i could only have that right now.

For me it is maple syrup as I am from Canada.

Bring something totally Texas and I am sure they will love it.
