I am watching the Notebook right now and this is the first time i've seen it. a lot of girls say this movie makes them cry, but why?

I watched it the other day, although I was flipping back and forth between two different channels, and I didn't cry. =/ My mom watched it when it came out on DVD and she came out of her bedroom bawling.

I think what gets them is the ending. Noah loved Ally so much and it definately would hurt and be incredibly painful if someone you loved with all your heart totally.. forgot about you. And, for a moment, they recall everything, then relapse. That's like a slap in the face.

it's sooo incredibly romantic! i've seen it so many times and i still cry. the passion, the romance -- it's the greatest.

and the fact that he stayed with her, loved her only, regardless of everything makes you wish that you will have someone who will feel the same way about you. who will love you even when you don't remember who they are.
