Glasses cleaning without streaks?

Question

How do I clean my glasses with glasses cleaner without leaving streaks? It bugs me, because I am nearsighted, and so there is a lot I can't see without my glasses, but when look at them after I've cleaned them, they have streaks! I was wondering if there was a way that I could reduce streaks- if not get rid of them all together- using the glasses cleaner. Please don't tell me to use something else, because a lot of things besides the cleaner are harmful for your glasses.

run them under hot water... then wipe with a towel...
