Going back to school ?

i'm 52 years old and i'm thinking about going to a training center to be a machinist. they said that people in their 50's are going and getting jobs. does anyone know anything about being a machinist? do you have to be good with your math skills? what else? i'm trying to get a better job . i want to better myself.

Good for you. Many companies hire older folks. Retired military people have good chances getting jobs as well. Your math skills should be average or better. You should be able to bone up on those skills in your school. I bet you would do well. Good luck.
