Going green on the 29th?

Question

i saw a sign at the mcdonalds that said we are going green on I think it was the 29th by turning everything off for an hour. i think a lot of business are doing this so my question is has anyone else heard about this and are people doing it too in their homes? any info would be good.

Guess I'll have to get my burger and fries from somewhere else.  Better tank up the Hummer for a longer trip.

It's called Earth Hour and many people are going to participate, me included.  I think it's something we should think of everyday and not just once a year.  I unplug all appliances not in use (which frustrates my parents!) and I don't leave lights on unless they're needed.
