Gold Coast- Beware?

I live on the Coast and love it. It is such a beautiful place to live. I live in Highland Park near Nerang.

However, I have recently found out that there are street gangs in the Nerang area. Not as bad as the gangs in the US, however they are violent.

Yesturday my friend's cousin was stabbed in the arm by the 4211 (a so called gang in the Nerang area who take the name of the postcode).

When he went to the hospital, they asked him what happend. He told them he was stabbed by a street gang and they did not believe him! This should be on the news!

This is not a lie by the way. I was just wondering whether any body on here (particully teens) have heard of these gangs?

They do exist people! Be careful when you walk around Nerang at night!

I'm in Mermaid Waters and iv never heard of 4211, but i know its a little risky walking around miami and burleigh at night. I've had some close calls around that area.

I'm in Brisbane. There have been reports of groups of idiots, yes. I don't know if they yet classify as gangs, or if the local Coast police consider them such, but if they exist, the cops would be well aware of it.

For gangs to take root in the community, there usually has to be a financial underpinning in order to keep them alive and strong. It's usually the production and sale of drugs. If this gang (or any other on the coast) is involved in this kind of activity, you could have a real long term problem on your hands.

If not, it's most likely a bunch of know-nothing do-nothing pinheads who are emulating their 'gangsta' heroes in the US. If that's the case, they'll get busted up pretty quickly.
