Golf Caddying?? Help?

Question

Can you go up to a golfer and ask them if they need a caddy in a public golf course if the golf course doesn't hire caddies?

At a public course...typically not.

Even at a municipal course, the land is usually owned by a party who can control what kind of commerce goes on.

Plus...not sure you'd get any takers.  

If you want to get into caddying (which is dying a slow death), try to get a job at a private club or resort that actually uses caddies.
