Question:

Golf club question?

I'm looking in to purchasing new golf clubs. I've been checking out blades, but the price is a bit hefty for me. Are there any affordable blades out there under 300 bucks?

Thanks

  1. You aren't going to find any worth having for that price.  Blades are great if you have the skill to use them, but you have to go for quality.  My suggestion would be to shop for used ones.  Used golf clubs are great because you can find them often that some rich guy bought, found out he still sucked, and sold because he in convinced it's just a matter of finding the right set.  Ebay might have something for you, but the shipping for a whole set of irons might be pretty rough.  Good luck.

  2. buy cheap clubs and spend the rest on lessons

  3. Try EBay. I find listings through http://www.stealgolf.com , which make some sense out of the Ebay listings by breaking them down by manufacturer and club type. Check under the Mizuno listings, especially.

  4. Not new ones, but you might find a good used set at Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith.  They take trade ins and lots of older players give up their blades to go with the easier to hit "game improvement" clubs.  New ones will be in the $600 to $1000 range.
