  1. I would suggest that your handicap is fairly good for your age and with constant practice there is no reason why you cannot become a club professional or even a tour professional. If you are dedicated to the game and are constantly striving to improve then I would suggest that you aim for a career in golf and if you want to - maybe even aim to get a golf scholarship and go to university. I wish I had done that! Best of luck!

  2. Its hard to say now.

You just have to work hard on your game and keep it a dream. Never give up and you will become great.

I have just got back from the golf course and have played 6 over the course, and I am off 16. But only yesterday I had dropped 10shots after 4 holes.

Its a matter of how you control your mental side. Everybody has the ability to become single figure.

Your playing great for a 13 year old. But only time will tell.

Stick with the game and dont let the fact you want to be good get in the way because you will find yourself getting bad scores. Confidence is good on the course, but don't let some bogies here and there put you off when your still off 14.8

  3. Wait until you mature and have experienced some of life before deciding to become a club pro.First, find out what you have to do to become a pro. Then how many years of working long hours for little money. Consider the schooling you will need during that period and the talent required to teach, run a pro shop, and keep members happy. Add to this the ability to play the game at a reasonable level as required by the PGA of America. Now battle with every other assistant for one of the limited openings  available for the coming year.

  4. That's a pretty good handicap for your age. The 13 year olds at my coarse are off 10 handicaps and one of the guys I know is 12 and he plays off 3!

Those guys are like the best in my area though.

Just keep the practice up, enter some comps and see where it takes you.

    I am 17 and play off 5

  5. Im 14 years old and play off 7

My course is a little shorter than average but has tiny greens..

    I play 8 rounds a week .

  6. You are certainly heading in the right direction to be able to play to 3 or better, which IIRC is the limit for PGA pros.

It's very early to be pinning yourself down to one career, especially one that isn't particularly well-paid or easy to advance in. You might find you get sick of the game, you might get injured, you might find something else you love more, you might plateau and find that you can't improve beyond a handicap of (say) 5 or 6. However, you are doing all the right things to at least have this as a career option in a few years' time.
