  1. It's great that you are going to apply yourself this year. I've been getting straight A's since 3rd grade and I just started 9th grade!

For me I like to do homework right when I come home, that way I don't have the excuse of being tired. For school habits I would right down all the notes given and keep your project dates in a planner. Don't procrastinate! Procrastination is the biggest problem that I face and this year I'm gonna fix it. Also, don't worry if your friends make fun of you for doing your work. Hey, my work payed off because at the end of 8th grade I got a scholarship for $8,000 to take with me to a 4 year college. When those friends are home without a job I'll be making money and enjoying my life.

I hope that this helps you. I want you to know that all your hard work will pay off in the end.

  2. Take and review notes.

    Study in "chunks".

  3. Doing your homework is definitely a good place to start. I find that A's come easier when I learn to enjoy the subject, find someone you can discuss major points with. If you not only read but think about and talk about your subject (not constantly, just enough) it will help you relly learn the answers to questions that inevitably come up in class or tests. Also, take it easy sometimes, stressing about grades can sometimes make them worse. Enjoy it.
