Good Beginners Mountain Bike?

I am looking for a beginners mountain bike which is good for jumps, tracks, offroad etc which isn't expensive and ships to Australia. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Unfortunately, a cheap bike will not take that kind of abuse.

I suggest that you go to a few local bike shops and ask this same question to see what they might recommend. Even if you don't buy from them you will get an education.
