Where can I find good camping locations in Mississauga or some where really close to Mississauga. Me and my friends are 17 and we want a good camping pace in Mississauga, Ontario. Somewhere clean, good price, and not too far since we don't have our own cars.

  1. the only camp site in mississauga is by wild water kindoom cant think of the name right now there are a few otheres just north of mississauga i think Heart Lake has camping and Albion Hills has a camp site theres is a camp site i think in tera cotta close to the forks of the credit and some north of caladon and bolton i cant think of the names right now

  2. unfortunately there Mississauga is too "city" for any decent camping.  Check out the "ontario parks" website.  You'll be able to find a campground and make your reservation there.

  3. I think that the closest camping areas to Mississauga are in the conservation areas, like at Rattlesnake Point (http://www.snapshotjourneys.com/conserva... though it may be a little far for you -- about an hour's drive tops from Mississauga - probably less, depending on if you go via Hwy 401, then go south, or via QEW and north.

There is also camping at Bronte Creek -- see http://www.ontarioparks.com/English/bron... a provincial park on the Oakville - Burlington border.

Or go north, into Brampton - see http://peel.cioc.ca/details.asp?RSN=1686... --for Heart Lake.

For most of these sites -- if not all - you do need a car to get there.

Mississauga is sorely lacking in camping and RV facilities -- land is just too costly.

I hope this is of some help to you.
