Good HDTV for £500-600?

I'm looking for a good HDTV, that is either 32" or 37", with AT LEAST;

Contrast ratio 15,000:1

Resolution 1920X1080p (not this crappy 1366X768)

Decent colour, I have a KDLU3000 bravia for reference

At least one HDMI and component, and if it doesnt have decent sound then some way of getting phono/RCA out to an external amp/speakers.

My current price is about £600 maximum, and for that I have found the tantalising Toshiba 37XV505D for about that price.

No higher than 37 and no lower than 32 (unless theres an AMAZING 42 for like.... £500)

I will be using mainly for 360/PS3 and a PC, all connected through HDMI (so I dont really need d-sub or vga)

Thanks in advance people

  2. Dont know the price off hand but the SAMSUNG - SERIES 6 is FAB!!!

  3. I would go for the SAMSUNG LE37A558 37 INCH LCD TV or the SAMSUNG LE37A559P4F, both are under £600. Both have a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, Full HD, 3 HDMIs, 24p cine mode, component and are good for consoles. I would only go for Sony, Samsung or Panasonic if you don't like these. Also email this site: http://plasmaorlcd.co.uk  They've had good reviews for recommending a good tv for your specific needs.

    Hope that helps!

  4. Tesco Tesco Tesco!!!

    I moved into a house bought a 47" tv for 599 and it's sony!

    It's worth a look and you get clubcard point which you can use on shopping!

    Every little helps lol

    Look at www.tescodirect.com

    Good Luck (Happy Shopping)
