Good Hotel In Penang?

I am gtg to Penang, can anyone adv me on the hotel to stay. Saw review that a lot have bed bug, am pretty scare abt that. Would prefer a beach hotel, or a hotel with nice pool. Near shopping and kek Lok Si Temple. Thanks Everyone

    You do not shop in Penang ...pls do it in KL....????

    Batu Ferringgi are where the 3 to 5 stars hotel located ...Beach Front ...Nite shopping its call " Pasar Malam " its at your door step at nite all branded handbags and watches  but its FAKE ...nice enough to fooled your friends back home...Lastly check with the locals there or internet....lots to offer ....if you ever run into difficulties email me...Im a Penang Boy now in KL....Cheers


  2. You can forget about Penang's beach. It's not worth considering but if you insist, there are several hotels in the batu feringi area but it would a h**l to drive in and out everyday.

    The most preferred hotel would be either The G Hotel or Gurney hotel. You can still see the sea from your room or bathroom. Good view.. trust me. So so pool. The last time I went, it was kind of mirky. Maybe it was already late in the evening (6~7pm) but overall it's not that bad. It's convenient and close to everything except for that Kek Lok Si Temple you are talking about because it's on the opposite side of the island.


  3. Cititel, Sunway Hotel, Traders Hotel - not bad and the hotel rate will not vry expensive.

  4. there are nice places to shop,, like queensbay mall or gurney plaza .

    U cant find any hotel near Kek Lok Si (its at Air Itam)

    If you want to shop at quuensbay,, u stay at Equatorial or vistana penang (bukit jambul) they have nice pool

    but its bettr if you  stay at feringghi beach hotels (rasa sayang resort,) or Merit sri sayang (apartment) also nice,, the beach is just near and they have a lot of activities there. you should ask the agents in the Penang International airport,, they can advice you better.

    slighly expensive:- citidel both are in the city

    city hotel does not have beach. kek lok si is in near to city. no good hotel around kek lok si
