Good Insurances?

Question

My fiance is currently working at D icks Sporting Goods and found out she can get BlueCross BlueShield through fulltime work. But she was also wondering what other major chains, stores, etc. also have such in Washington State (that is where we will be moving). I believe it goes by Regence BlueShield in Washington State. She really needs the insurance, and that is one of the best and knowing through her dad, it covered all her medical needs in the past. So we wanted to know in advance.

If your fianc'e is healthy, I recommend she get an individual policy outside of work.

Individual or family health insurance is usually far less expensive than group health insurance. This is contrary to what most people believe. The reason is that  group plans must accept everyone in the group, regardless of their health. The most important thing, however, is that she owns the policy, not her employer. As long as she pays the premiums she cannot be canceled, or singled out for a rate increase. The down side is, if you have health conditions, you may not be able to buy an individual health insurance policy - at any price!
