Good Jobs for teens...

Question

Hey guys...

I am going to turn 14 in December and I was wondering if there are any other places that hire besides Publix...I live in Florida if that helps...

If you do know some other places, are there rules to it..like I can only work a couple hours a week or something..Thanks!

The law does not allow jobs until the age of 16. So you can wait a little longer and think about what job you want. Try Wal Mart when you become 16.

It's difficult to get a job at your age.  Most places require 16, and many age 18.  Until you can find a job, babysit.

At 15, I just hit the road and started applying everywhere locally.  They all pay minimum wage.  Your best bet is to not be selective - take a job with whoever will hire you, and stick arounf there for at least 6 months to a year.  Why?  It shows mayurity, responsibility and you'll have an excellent reference.  At that point, you can move up, perhaps, to a better paying job.
