Good TV Recorder?

Ok, I need to know a good tool I could use to record my self playing video games, as well as a good converter to like open them in movie maker. (Yes, I asked the converter question, but this is different) PLEASE don't say:

You should get the Dazzle then you can record video content from camcorders, VCRs or TVs
