Avoid passing 5's, 6's, 7's,8's and 9's as well as any sequential cards to your opponents crib.

When you have lead, there is a good chance your opponent will follow with a 10, so having 2 cards that add up to 5 can be helpful in getting points. This also works with having 2 cards that add up to 11 to make 31.
