  1. Do not ever use a shock collar, use your voice instead, it is much more effective if you learn how.  Hand signals for distance.

  2. unless you are a professional dog trainer who really knows what they are doing you could use a shock collar (maybe not even than). if you aren't a professional dog trainer than do not use one, unless you want to ruin your hunting dog. my dad has professionally trained hunting dogs and this information has come from him. the best you could do is teach him hand signals. go to a book store and buy a book on training hunting dogs.

  3. Never use a shock collar on a dog while they are hunting (or ever) just learn to use hand signals and sounds, and if she is deaf then get another dog to hunt instead of shocking the dog and expecting her to do what you want.

Edit: if u dont want to answer my question with what im looking for then dont answer at all.

    common courtesy.

    nosey judge mental people.

That's funny, common courtesy is not to shock you'r dog, I guess you must be mental.....you are the type of person who gives hunters a bad name. If you didn't expect critism.....alot of people think shock collars are bad. Why don't you look up the dang collar you'rself?

  4. I have a friend that professionally trains dogs for hunting and he uses the Dogtra brand. He has good luck with them, and they are very durable.
