Got a Sony Camera question

I sent a dsc-w55 Cybershot to a service center here in Tx. I received a UPS email that I have a pkg. coming from Mexico weighing 1 lb.

If Sony were replacing the camera could the new one come from Mexico?

It could ... many of the assembly sites have been moved to Mexico.  Usually though because of customs, items are not shipped directly to the customer.

First call Sony's 800 number and ask them ... if you are not satisfied, then call UPS and ask them about the package and see what it really is.  If it is a legitimate UPS shipment, it will have a tracking number you can check.

I get spam all the time that refers to a FedEx package ... It could be just one of those emails.
