Gotta be allowed to get gta4?

any possible way to convince my parents to let me get it? or just no? i'm sixteen and can play assasins creed, halo, cod4, that kinda stuff but they are totally opposed to gta4. u got any ideas let me know lol

Well... my parents didn't let me get it either ... but than I just got it anyways and its fun but if your parents don't want u to get it, i kind of agree... i mean its pretty fun but it is just so inappropriate that it just disgusting and it really turns me off.  I also think think Halo, CoD, and all that jazz is better anyways.  But if you really want the game, and I don't blame you, just keep asking (don't be annoying though) and prove that you are mature enough to play it.  Also, if you do get it... play with the volume somewhat down so they don't hear, haha.

Probably because GTA4 is all about going around as a gangster killing drug dealers and hookers, stealing cars, doing drugs and the other gang related activities (It also let's you run over random old ladies, which is fun :) ). Even though COD4 is also realistic, GTA4 might influence people to do things in real life that they do in the game. It's also got a fair bit of swearing in it.

If people want to re-enact COD4, they'll do it in Iraq, not in the City.

Anyway, have you got or played any of the other GTA's, maybe they've seen you play it and from past experiences they don't like it? But why not say to them that you're sixteen years old know and you are a responsible young adult and you are mature enough not to do what they do from the game. After all, You are 16, you should be allowed.

Sorry dude. GTA4 is an extremely violent game and people under 18 shouldn't be playing it. I agree 100% with your parents' decision, and you can't change their mind.

1.just explain to them that its really know different then any of the other games you play (like they know the difference, really)

2.get a friend thats older to buy it for you and don't tell you parents you have it and only play it when their not home

3. buy it online. i.e. ebay
