Question:

Government housing.....my tax rate.?

Why do some people insist on working part-time, so they can keep their government housing in which they only pay $150 in rent per month? If they work full-time, they'd make too much money. Oh and they also wouldn't get food stamps.

I wish there was a way to remove the unmotivated people and put them somewhere else.

More than 20% of what I make is taken by Uncle Sam, and given to people who are lazy and want to have extra kids so they can live off the people who are working.

I'm a democrat and believe in assiatance programs, but not to the point it rewards laziness. They are for temporary purposes only!!!!

Does anyone else share my view?

To all the people I'm talking about...you know who you are - People need to quit complaining about the "rich" and wanting to extra tax them because they carry your a$$ when your lazy and live off the government.

  1. You sure you're a democrat?  You sure sound like a good republican to me!  Come on over to the "right" side.  We are in total agreement.

Let me determine who gets my charity.

  2. It's funny that you brought this up because I have felt the exact same way. I am a democrat as well (working), and I do think that it is unfair that their are thousands or more Americans who have been on welfare for years and that I am paying to support. People complain everyday, yet barely even try to make their situations better. I know that everyone comes from different backgrounds and walk different paths in life, but I refuse to feel sorry for people who are just flat out lazy. Life was never promised to be easy and nothing beats a failure but a try! There are people who are going to have to keep trying for years in order to "make it", but once you do, it would all have been worth it. It is sad, but it is definately a reality. The only thing that I can do is continue doing what God has placed me on this earth to do, so that I could be able to raise my future children good work ethics and morals.

  3. We'll stop complaining about the rich when they stop slithering up to get government bailouts when their investments don't quite pan out.  Ohh, bet you forgot about that one eh?

  4. It was the Democrats that instituted all of these assistance programs, but forgot one thing, a time limit. There should have been an expiration date attached to how long they could get help, you are on welfare, food stamps and public housing? then take advantage of the training programs and get trained for a career because in six years you are kicked off the programs never to be allowed back in!
