I never did it, never see it doing it, never knew of somoene that did it once, and is not acceptable.

I will be very surprise and shock if someone of my friends did it once.

This is a stupid idea that I really don't know where is coming from. maybe the Italian in the states they use to do it 50 years ago, people from low class from small and poor villages from south of italy...

If they do it in Italy O.K. but don't try doing it to tourists they will be offended! Just not a costume every where!

please where did you hear this? If anyone, Italian or tourist randomly grabbed my butt they'd get a nice slap in  the face. Its not done, never has been done and hopefully never will......

Hello,

I've never seen anyone grab anyone elses butt when I've been to Rome.  I wouldn't try it if that's what you're asking.  I  don't think they do that anymore,and if they do it is just in the really small towns.  You  can look and whistle, just don't grab.
