  1. It totally depends which courses you're taking. But since you've said all academic, I'll assume your taking all academic. It's not bad. The only thing that I would say is the new concepts introduced in math class (with lots of slopes) and I would say that grade 10 math is easier. Science is a lot of review, only the biology unit can seem tough (its about cell growth and everything), the other units are relatively simple. English is good, so is french. Geography is extremely easy, although you have a lot of group assignments. Anything else I'm missing?

It can be a bit overwhelming at first. But high school are awesome times to get involved with after-school activities and expanding your network,

  2. Schools from one province to another in Canada are so different. What courses did you pick to take?  You don't learn all the same stuff as what I have learned. Of course the math will be similiar and maybe some of the sciences. You should do fine in grade nine. Take a deep breath. Your not going to fail! Trust me! The teachers are there to help. You have all your friends as well. At my high school its 9-12. I don't how your school system works so you maybe in your last year of middle school or elementary. Where I live in Manitoba there is so much variation between two of the major high schools in the city. One is all about academics and one is more on hands on work.  Enjoy high school. Before you know it you'll be done grade 10 and you'll say wow I'm already half way done high school. Hangout with friends enjoy your time you only get to experience it once. Don't goof off too much though.
