Grafix card problem please help?

I have a problem with my grafix card on my pc il try to explane the best i can

ok i recently installed a new graffic card a Nvidia GeForce 6200 turbo cash card .and i went to install a battlefield 2 ( ITSA A NEW PC )

During the installation process i got a message saying it is recommended that u download the newest driver softwere click here to do it so i clicked yes and my pc restarted

when it restarted my colour was all screwed up so i took the grafix card out and tried to reinstall . when i reinstall it i get a message saying the files already exist do i want to override so i said yeah then it saaid windows cand find the necisarry hardwear for the drivers EG the grafix card and i dont no what to do

i have tried this

Right-click My Computer and select Properties. Under the Hardware tab, find the button to open the Device Manager. Your graphics card should be listed under the Display Adapter heading.

but there is no display adapter heading what is wrong ???

  1. You did it wrong. This is how you install a new graphics card:

    1. Uninstall the drivers for the previous card you had in

    2. Turn off the computer, unplug your monitor and remove the previous card (if you previously used onboard graphics, skip to 3).

    3. Install the new graphics card into the slot, make sure it is in securely and that the power cable is plugged in on your card.

    4. Plug your monitor into the port on the back of your new card and turn on your computer.

    5. Install the drivers for your new card.

    Then you can carry on using your computer. Remove the files that were added when you tried to install your graphics card's drivers and follow my steps.
