  1. Keep him on another 4 year's.

2011's a dead cert, no one's gonna rumble us in our own back yard so why not keep him, at least by the end of the 2011 tournament we'll know where we are at in regard's to coach depth.

Like Hawkeye said, GH and the AB's overall acheivement's over the last few year's are second to none and IMO should be enough to keep him on.

This firing of coache's because they fail to deliver the RWC is stupid, fair enough if their overall record sucked but d**n, there are plenty more teams out their who will kill to have a winning percentage much like the AB's.

  2. Graham henry  will always  be the best coach ever to come out of new zealand and its a shame he has to take the fall because  of soft mc caw and his team of sissy boys  failing miserably at the world cup Graham Henry  brought Auckland rugby back to the apex and created a super rugby  dynasty with the Auckland blues he is a coach that  promotes  open running rugby (open running Auckland rugby to be percise) he should be kept as the all black coach but i know they wont keep him

but i do not wont to see robbie deans  as the all black coach you think  the england team played boring rugby wait till you see an all black team under robbie deans it will be a kick -a-thon

  3. Henry's only failing is that he is ahead of his time. Brilliant man. He was always going to leave so it's not as if he would want to stay on even if he had brought the cup home.

It's ridiculous to think that winning the WC is the only thing that matters yet naive not to think that he will be remembered for anything other than the worst NZ WC performance to date.

Rotation and putting systems in place to give players ownership of their own individual performance maybe new to international rugby but it's an approach with considerable merits. I can only hope that who every takes the reins will have the sense to continue what Graham Henry and his staff had the foresight and balls to start.

  4. Replace him. He was contracted on the basis of winning the world cup. He is a brilliant coach but business is business and he signed a contract and failed to deliver the goods. Would love to see Robbie Deans there

  5. Graham Henry is my favourite coach of all time, followed by John Hart.  I would love to see him stay mostly because we share the exact same philosophies on Rugby.

Look at what he did in his time as coach... Tri-Nations 2005, 2006, 2007, Bledisloe Cup 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, Lions Whitewash 2005, Grand Slam tour 2005 not to mention winning 42 of 48 matches over 4 years and lifting the All Blacks to a level they have never been before.

Everyone calling for his replacement is basing it on losing the French game.  There is absolutely no way they lost that game purely because of Graham Henry.  It's always the same, they win, the players are great, they lose, blame the coach.  The players agree they couldn't have been better prepared (other than the weak pool) so maybe they should take the blame and we should get rid of Carter, McCaw, Jack, Williams, Collins, Woodcock and co... thats obviously not the answer and I don't think getting rid of Henry is either.

Deans is a fantastic coach and if Henry does go, then I absolutely hope they get him, but I don't think we should be so quick to fire the coach because we lost one game.

  6. With the best will in the World, as NZ coach you have one goal: win the World Cup.

For the fantastic 4 years they have had, they did not deliver when it matters. The buck stops with the head coach. It is time to move on.

  7. Two weeks ago I would have said keep him. The fact that he will go due to his contract being fulfilled, its academic. However, the fact that he says he would not change a thing given the same opportunity, shows his unwillingness to admit his failure. Everyone knows the rotation killed em. Except Henry. Its like keeping a thoroughbred in the paddock, saddled up but no race to run!

Robbie Deans is the guy. Henry's support staff gotta go with him too.

  8. Lose him. He is totally over rated. He took the British Lions to their only overseas defeat when he coached them. He took arguably the best AB's side ever away to the RWC and still managed to lose it.

Bring on Robbie Deans. Young, smart, committed and respected by all levels.

  9. he was hired to do one thing win the WC

he put in the worst NZ performance in the history of the WC

    he should go
