Me and my fiance are looking to get married and we want an outdoor wedding. Ever since I saw fools rush in with matthew perry and salma hayek i thought it would be a beautiful place to get married. A lot of the package deals take you to the floor of the canyon, but we would like to get get married on top of the canyon just like the film, does anyone know how this is possible?

  1. This link should help you out. These people all got married at the rim, not the bottom. I think getting married at the Grand Canyon will be beautiful. Good luck!

  3. Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I LOVE that movie too!  I didn't realize they were at the Grand Canyon at the end of the movie.  Wow!!  That is a long way to come for a destination wedding.  Anyway, here are three articles.  The first is about getting married in the Grand Canyon.  The second is the actual National Park Service site about getting married at the Grand Canyon.  And the third one is the page with links for the permits you will need, etc.

I hope this helps!  Good luck and I hope you have a beautiful wedding here in the United States!

  4. You should contact Xanterra.  They are the concessionaire for Grand Canyon National Park.  Their website is http://www.grandcanyonlodges.com/ and the phone # is 928.638.2631.  You will get the switch board and ask for Sales.  They will be able to help you.  You may also want to talk to Patty Park the Pastry Chef at the El Tovar.  She can help you with a cake.  She is super sweet and very talented.

Anyway, I use to work at the El Tovar (about 8 years ago now) and there were weddings all the time so I know it can be done.  There are even churches in the park (Catholic and Protestant) where you may be able to get officiate.

    Anyway, good luck and congrats!
