    It lists the architect  (when known), the date, a brief description, pictures of the ruins, maps to locate the building, and links for further information.

    The following site also has a lot of information on many of the ancient sites in Rome with more text description of the buildings and good pictures of the remaining ruins today:

    This site has some pictures of what the building would have looked like in the past and photos today for a few places. The pictures are too small to make out much detail though.

  2. Rome is filled with some of the most beautiful buildings in the world.

    My favourites are the Colliseum, the Pantheon and St. Peter's Basilica but there are loads more.  A walk down the Roman Forum will show you some of the most amazing Roman buidlings anywhere.
