Green Iguana Life Span???

I went to a pet store and saw 2 adult iguanas about 5-6 feet long and was 14y/o and the other was 19y/o.How long is there life span if well taken care of?

The oldest known iguana in captivity lived to be 32.  In captivity they seem to be living 20 years these days.  Just 10 years ago the highest expectancy was 15.  It is very possible that the expectancy may continue to go up, because we have so much more information now than we used to about their dietary needs and UV ray requirements.  In the wild, they are only expected to live about 7 years.   We are still finding out how long they can live when given everything they need.

  3. If they are given the proper care, and no life threating illness, an iguana in captivity can live 15-20 year, but can be 25 years.

  5. well cared could live for 15-20+ years but usually in their 9 or 10s they develope  kidey failure so they die pretty young.
