When i was living in India one of the aunties always served sliced green chilies with the food. I cannot for the life of me get this right! Are the chilies in white vinegar or maybe lemon juice?? Anyone know?? I do know that they were in a clear liquid. Sliced chilies and clear liquid...thats it!

Thanks in advance!!!

  1. Yep chilis in Vinager buy them right in the latin food isle

  2. It's just green chilies in vinegar with a pinch of both salt & sugar.  It's usually either white wine vinegar or I prefer to use cider vinegar.  Try it with cider vinegar & let me know, I think that's the taste you're seeking!

  3. I'm not sure about India, but in Thailand green chilies in vinegar is a very popular condiment.  I eat this all the time and just made a fresh batch yesterday.  Nothing more to it than chopping up some chilies and pouring vinegar over them.
