Greener packing materials?

we are in fish business, and everyday we use a lot of styrofoam boxes for packing. some customers have no use of them afterward, and they are wasted and end up in trash can. i want to know if there is a greener and more economical packing material available with at least the same insulation and protective functions. thanks.

  1. Ummmmm... I am not so sure on insulation but what about wood?

  2. not sure... but how about using boxes which are made up of card-board....?

  3. maybe something reusable- like cheap coolers with your logo on them? Then have a packaging charge, if someone preffered the disposable packing?  I'd charge for the coolers, but your regulars would save on the packaging charge each time they used them. Like those reusable shopping bags you pay 99 cents for, I bet people would like the idea
