Griffey approves trade to White Sox

This trade makes me grin from ear to ear.

(1) Gives my South Side team (Sox) another better hitting fielder. Now the have one of the best HITTING outfields in baseball with Dye, Quentin, and Griffey. Also, gives them a left-handed bat to keep pitchers on their toes. Combined with the Pudge trade from yesterday, White Sox are looking good.

(2) Gets him out a position to hurt my North Side team (Cubs). Makes it harder for the Reds to play spoiler without the bat of Griffey.

I am smelling a Crosstown World Series. :)

Whats important is that the Reds and Sox are splitting his salary. Not a bad deal but not a great one either. How many Sox are batting below .250 now? 4?

Griffey .245

Swisher .230

Konerko .214

Fields will likely stay below .250...too early to tell
