Grinding on wood??

I want to but a rail in my backyard and i was just wondering if it was possible to slide on a regular pease of wood from like home depot with a little water any ice on it

You can use a 2x4 but a metal tube would be much better: stronger and smoother.  Plus its less likely to break and impale you in the gut.

haha nothing like grinding on some wood, baby..  ok i had to go there..   your main question is just easy to be taken wrong.

Get a 2x4 dude and just put a little lexan or plexy glass on it. Ice on it would work but thats sketchy dude.  If your on the east coast ill give you some lexan dude!  Hit me up. Otherwise you can probally find some @ home depot and you will only need a little if your just putting it on a 2x 4
