Groundhog stuck in my patio!?

Question

Okay, so my dog was barking alot and i went and found him in my patio barking viciously at a groundhog!!! my sister managed to get my dog inside the house, but the groundhog is still in the patio. It won't move and it looks petrified. idk what to do. any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

if you want to spend the money, you could hire someone to come and get rid of it, or a wildlife rescue place if you don't want to kill it, you could call your local humane society and they will probably get someone to come down and release it somewhere else for you

if you leave it alone and just ignore it for a few hours though, it  might figure out how to leave on it's own... i wouldn't approach it though it i were you
