  1. incorporate better filtration systems for the drinking water,

locate the source of the pollution and clean it up or eliminate the polluter and have them pay for the clean. There needs to be a source

  2. The ground water available are from confined aquifer and unconfined aquifer depending on the location of  ground water source. If the source is in the confined aquifer, it will be difficult to correct the pollution problem. However, this problem may be corrected by injecting/letting rainwater into the ground by rain water harvesting methods and also by draining the wastewater as quickly as possible from the vicinity of ground water source. If it is in an unconfined aquifer, the area of contribution of water to the deep ground water may be made free from pollution.

  3. It depends on the kind of pollution. Some pollutants can actually be destroyed by CO2 injection into the ground.

  4. Educate people and prevent pollution........ that is the preliminary step.

  5. Move

  6. In a city are too many factors and institutions involved

    in theory many solutions

    in practice not

Means not chemical spraying that makes its way to the groundwater with the rains

    Cars pollute as well

    factories

sewage that gets into the ground unchecked ,etc.

I worked for a municipality once and it is next to impossible to have quick solutions and always there are politics involved.

the causes have been going on a long time

some landfills go on polluting for hundreds of years

    If it really is bad

i agree with what somebody said above ,go to a cleaner place

Small towns are much easier to correct ,but still it is a battle

Means a work force to clean up places

    alternative sewage systems .

filtering systems for the potable water

new restricting laws on the use of chemicals and if not heavy fines

A lot depends on the geographic s

is the place low lying in a pan

    then good luck

or in the hills on a slope

    much easier

  7. At one time we used a special designed cream separator to separate oil from water.
