Growing pumpkins?

Question

I'm growing pumpkins. Although i can't find the difference between a male and female flower on a pumpkin. I know there is a little lump beneath a flower of a female flower pumpkin, but is there anything else that useful to see the difference between a male and female flower pumpkin.

You need to talk to your local County Extension Service or even the closest school of agriculture to you in your state.   Texas A&M University would be an excellent source of information; if you are in another state, the university that has a school of agriculture should be able to help you.

male flowers grow in the crown of the plant and female flowers grow along the vine.
